The Minnesota Builders East is an affiliate organization of the Minnesota Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. The purpose of the Builders is to provide loans and grants to United Methodist Churches and their ministries in Minnesota.  

 

The loans are offered throughout the year.  Interest is set annually.  The current rate is 6%. 

Loans can be used for building repairs, remodeling, new construction and property purchase.

 

Grants are given once a year; usually in the late spring through early summer.  Grants can be used for programs, ministry and building items.  The upper limit of a grant is usually $4,000.
